“I live in Southern Colorado, close to Trujillo Creek Outfitters and Daniel’s hunting grounds. I love the hunt and got several big bucks, bulls and bears. I did hunt in Canada, Michigan’s UP, Texas and of course Colorado. I trade with hides and furs and I have a really good idea of what a nice trophy is. I hunted on both, private and public land. Last year was my first year with Trujillo Creek Outfitters – and guess where you will find me again this year.
I don’t miss public land at all, no reckless hunters with semi-military guns, no fights about who killed the animal and I certainly hate having bullets flying all over. I found the perfect hunting area with big numbers of animals and I was impressed of the size. Very important for me is the exclusive access and the experienced guide who goes the extra mile.
My name is Werner, and I’m a satisfied hunter who will return for his trophy this year. I’m also looking forward to checking on Trujillo Creek Outfitters new hunting grounds in New Mexico. I think, Hunting Season is too short to screw it up.

Steven’s own words: We came upon a herd of 30 – 40 elk in a wooded area. My guide Daniel, out flanked the herd and expertly called in one of the bulls to within 100 yards. Once there was clear shot, I was thrilled to take my first elk! I highly recommend Trujillo Creek Outfitters. The guides felt like long-time hunting buddies.
